Our Projects

FemLink supports projects that promote political art, social innovation, community participation and horizontal interaction. Our focus is on creating spaces that encourage dialogue through artistic means and raise critical questions about issues such as sexism, racism, xenophobia, capitalism, ability, etc.

One of our main working ethics is to open up a conversation about collective care, what it means to create caring communities and how art can be used as a medium to transition to a caring society.

The Erasmus+ project "Self-care and Collective Care for Community Resilience," initiated by FemLink and Genderhood, emphasizes the integration of self-care and collective care into social justice practices to enhance resilience. Key activities include researching care practices, reducing stigma around self-care, hosting participatory exchanges, and creating an artistic Zine to share insights and practical tips.

BEYONDA

The Beұonda festival aims to create a unique space in Vienna for migrant and queer individuals interested in poetry and performative reading, fostering artistic expression in their native languages. This initiative seeks to connect diverse experiences through literature, promoting a welcoming environment for multilingual and multigender voices.

Embroidery Club

The FemLink Collective's feminist embroidery club fosters a collaborative space for collective care among feminist and queer communities, welcoming all identities and languages. Participants engage in artistic needlework and discussions on systemic oppression, promoting skill-sharing and mutual support.

International Festival of Political Theatres

Global security is threatened by conflicts and authoritarianism, prompting advocates for justice to seek solutions. A Vienna-based International Political Theatre Festival in September 2025 will showcase performing arts groups from conflict zones, highlighting their work and the power of theater in conflict resolution, human rights, and solidarity.
